Final Frontier Rescue Project

Description: "We are the last chance for the dogs in our care. Our group of volunteers and advocates save rehabilitatable and manageable dogs in danger of being killed for behavior at shelters in the Austin, TX area. By saving the "Final Frontier Dogs," we can develop best practices for the nation's shelters. We have also rescued dogs from other Texas pounds and shelters as well as strays and owner surrendered dogs.
We do not turn away dogs because they have behavior challenges, and we do our best to provide rehabilitation and safe placement. We only say "no" when we have nowhere left to house dogs and no funds to care for them. So far, we have rescued over 150 dogs and placed over 100.
We help the dogs who need another chance. Every life matters, and we are their last hope."

Do Over Dogs

About: "Do Over Dogs is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that gives at-risk shelter dogs a second chance at life. As a rescue, our main priority is to save dogs and puppies from 'death row' and eventually place them in forever homes. These sweet pups come from awful backgrounds; full of abuse, neglect and sadness. Our goal is to rehabilitate these animals, and place them into homes that allow them to feel like a family member and not a yard ornament or prisoner."

Angels with Misplaced Wings
Angels with Misplaced Wings is located in Amboy, Washington and is a sanctuary to 14 specially-abled dogs, Baba the cow, Lincoln the horse, Bob the blind turkey, two pigs, a colony of barn cats, turtles, and a pigeon.
These animals, lovingly called "the Angels" find their way to the sanctuary for varying reasons but generally after a long period of time being overlooked in shelters and rescue groups with no interested adopters. AWMW offers the Angels a home so they can experience a life with a family with real live in caretakers, warm beds, home cooked meals, and holistic care including physical therapy, massage therapy, naturopathic and behavioral medicine.
